Immersion

Immersion is an experience in entering community. We leave the area of our home, our school, and our community and enter into a new community. We hope to create intentional experiences of encounter, with people we might not otherwise know, in order to experience solidarity, create connections, and learn about realities that are not our own. Each experience allows students to be immersed in a different place. Most immersion experiences have an aspect of service, and all will have learning, reflection, community, and prayer.

Junior Immersion

An experience in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia. Your time will be spent in service for and with others, in kinship with your classmates and people from other walks of life, and in reflection that will push you to reconsider how you work for social justice.

Haiti Immersion

An immersion trip to the community of Bois-de-Laurence in rural Haiti. We stay with Missionhurst Priest Father Bavon and do what we can to serve and be with the community there. This trip is the culmination of students' experiences in service, social justice, spirituality, and community. The trip to Haiti is designed to bring girls who are committed to these values out of their comfort zones.
