Athletics News & Notes Becky Flynn Hensel '99, Athletic Director | VJMAthletics@vjmhs.org SPRING sport athletes, MARK YOUR CALENDARS:
Rowing Thanks to everyone who came to cheer on our rowers at the first Ergathon this past Friday night. Fun was had by everyone. The Ergathon helps support the team and cover the cost of new equipment. The rowing team will take delivery of 2 new eight oared shells at the end of this month. Thanks to all who participated in this event; its your generosity that makes this all possible.
Spring is almost upon us, which means that spring sports start up in a few weeks. As the winter seasons end, if you're looking for something new to be part of or just curious about what Villa Rowing is all about, come check us out! We will be holding a prospective rowers meeting February 26 at 7pm in the library. At this meeting you will learn what were all about and meet some of the girls, parents and the coaches. No experience is required; any girl can join. No matter what your class year, we have a spot for you. Currently we are running open practices for any interested athlete; practices are held on campus after school Monday through Friday. If you wish to attend, all you need to do is ask one of the girls on the team, or contact the coaches. It should be an exciting spring season. The fall season ended on a high note, and we are looking to carry that into the spring. Any questions can be sent to Head Rowing Coach John Musial john.musial18@gmail.com.
