Robotics Team Qualifies for States

Congratulations to the Robotics Team, who  qualified for States on Saturday, February 2, 2019, by placing 6th after the qualifier match. They will compete at Norristown High School on March 2, 2019 for the State Title. Way to go!

SPRING sport athletes, MARK YOUR CALENDARS:
For those interested in playing a SPRING sport, please check the Athletics webpage for information related to tryouts and what is needed from each athlete to be deemed eligible to participate. One of the requirements is attendance at the Concussion Education and Orientation presentation scheduled for Thursday, February 21 at 6:30 p.m. in the library--please mark your calendars! If you have any questions, please contact Athletic Director Becky Flynn Hensel. In addition, ImPACT testing will be provided on Monday, February 25 and Tuesday, February 26 after school in the library. Please use the sign-up genius link to schedule your appointment.

Rowing

Why:  A fun event in which Villa girls, that currently do not row, can come out and experience what rowing is all about! The current Villa rowers have been tasked with bringing as many friends to this event as possible! Help them beat their teammates!! Also, you'll have a chance to see what it's like to be a rower. Each friend that comes out will have the chance to get on an erg. Lastly, you'll have the chance to win some cash with a 50/50! This is an event you won't want to miss, especially because there will be food!

Villa Guidance is sponsoring a College Planning evening on February 12 at 7 p.m. in the gym. Admissions counselors will be joining Mrs. Bedrosian and Mrs. Perez to share their insights and thoughts about the college planning & application process. Prayer of Petition

Gracious God, we praise and thank You for Your faithfulness and love. You have blessed us with the example of Your servant, Maria Kaupas, whose deep faith in Your presence, love for the Eucharist, and zeal in fostering the faith life of others continue to inspire us. Through her intercession, we pray that Maria Middleton be cured of her brain tumor. Help us to continue life's journey with a heart filled with a profound faith in You and that trust which is born of love. We ask this through Jesus our Lord and the power of the Spirit. Amen.

Beatification Prayer

O loving Jesus, we beseech You, grant that Your servant, Mother Maria, who was imbued with Your Eucharistic Presence while on earth, may through the intercession of Your Immaculate Mother and Saint Casimir, be glorified by visible signs and miracles; so that for Your glory and salvation of souls, she may, by Your power, be declared Blessed. Amen.

The Archbishop of Chicago recently approved a new Litany for Mother Maria. Please join the Villa community in praying this litany as we continue to pray for Mother Maria's canonization.
