In the Classroom Students in the Ethnic and Social Justice in American History course celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month (9/15-10/15) by featuring influential figures, cultural history, and QR codes to invite others to learn more. Thank you to Amia Johnson '22, Hailey Magilton '22, and Sophia Velasquez '22 for their hard work and creativity!
Mr. Wisniewski's AP Stat classes spent their Spirit Day doing some real world data collection. After rolling dice, attempting to time exactly 5 seconds on a stopwatch, and tossing a penny on a target, the students used their TI-Nspire calculators to model, analyze, and explore characteristics of distributions of a variety of shapes.
The 2021 staff of Villa's literary magazine was proud to announce this year's fully-digital magazine, which can be found on the Villa website at the link below.

When considering this past year and half, one could imagine reading about it in an apocalyptic novel or a Shakespearean play. Now, in our second online version of Quintessence, we reflect on the impact the pandemic has had on our community, drawing inspiration from the theater world. Therefore, without further ado, we present Quintessence 2021: Much To Do About Something!
The Intro to Engineering and Design classes completed their first project of the year called Design a Game. Each team learned about statistics and the importance of data when making decisions and designing a product with intent. Using the engineering design process, the students designed a carnival game based on a bean bag launcher they used in previous activities. Then they pitched their games to faculty and staff members, who acted as the carnival planning committee.
Villa Fun Three of Villa's annual traditions — Spirit Day, Fore the Girls Golf Outing, and Ring Day — made our first few weeks of school extra exciting! Parents, check smugmug for recent photos from these events. And, a special thank you goes out to all those that helped make our Fall Open House a great success!
The Freshmen made bracelets for their Big Sisters in preparation for Junior Ring Day.
