Meet the Coaches
A coach has a tremendous influence on a student athlete, and the right coach can set the stage for success not only on the playing field or court, but also in life. Villa's coaches inspire our players to be more than they believe they can be. They look for opportunities to teach such valuable lessons as working as a team to accomplish a goal, rebounding from losses and setbacks, and sacrificing individual needs for the benefit of the group. They take the time to get to know each athlete's individual differences and styles, and to find ways to integrate fun into the hard work of competition.

Coach Flynn joined Villa Basketball as Head Coach during the 2017-2018 school year. He has been a fixture in the coaching world for approximately 30 years. Over the past 15 years, he has coached girls at the high school level in the capacities of JV Coach, Assistant Varsity Coach, and Head Varsity Coach. He also has been the director of a local AAU program since 1995.
In addition, Coach Flynn is intimately connected to the Villa community—he is the parent of an Alumna and spent two years as the JV/Assistant Varsity Coach from 2006-2008. He is fully devoted to the school, our Mission, the Athletics program, the Basketball Team, and its individual players.
Coach Finneyfrock has been Villa's Head Soccer Coach since 2004. He has a long, highly successful career in soccer, both as a player and coach, amateur and professional. "Coach Finn" won three ACC Conference Championships as a student at Clemson University. He played professionally for the Fort Lauderdale Strikers and the Nashville Diamonds, and coached the Philadelphia Freedom, winning a league championship title in 1997.
At Villa, he has coached the team to four state championships (2004, 2005, 2007, 2014), won the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Pennsylvania Coach of the Year title in 2005, the NSCAA East Region Division II Coach of the Year title twice, and the Pennsylvania State Soccer Coaches Association Class AA Girls Coach of the Year title twice.
In 2014, a season in which he earned his 200th victory at Villa, Coach Finneyfrock was named the NSCAA National Coach of the Year.
Coach Graham joined the Villa Softball Team during the 2017-2018 school year. In high school, she competed for and was a three-year starter at Neshaminy High School. She continued her academic and athletic career as a pitcher at West Chester University. Unfortunately, she suffered a blown shoulder, ending her collegiate career early.
Ever in love with the game, Coach Graham, returned to the area and began her career as a coach. In this capacity, she has served as the freshman coach at her alma mater and then moved on to assist at Conwell-Egan Catholic. It is Coach Graham's dream to create a softball dynasty of her own at Villa. She is assisted by Ken Fetterolf.
