In conjunction with the annual Kate Abel Memorial Tournament, the Alumnae Association will host a Social following the Tournament on Saturday, November 26. We have reserved a private room at The Buck Hotel, beginning at 7:00pm. This event is free; food and drinks will be available for purchase. Please RSVP below.

The Alumnae Association will be offering an exclusive Alumnae Happy Hour in Maria Hall at Villa. WHEN: Friday, October 7, 2022 5:00 - 6:30 pm, prior to the planned Designer Bag Bingo event. The Alumnae Event will be open to all Alumnae and attendance at the Designer Bag Bingo that follows it is not required in order to attend the Alumnae event. Beer, wine, and light hors d'oeuvres will be served. Reserved seating at Bingo will be available to attendees.

This year we will be holding a virtual Career Week from April 19 – 23. We are in need of presenters to record short videos (about 5 - 10 minutes) discussing their careers. These videos will be posted on our student communication portal (Canvas) for our students to view throughout the week.

If you are interested in preparing a pre-recorded video to be shared with our students during Career Week, please complete the form below and review these guidelines and suggested questions.

Videos must be emailed by April 9 to mwalinskas@vjmhs.org. If your file is too large to be sent via email, you may submit your video via a cloud based-service (i.e. Google Drive, DropBox, etc.) and simply email the download link to mwalinskas@vjmhs.org.

Villa's annual Career Day will take place Thursday, April 23, 2020. Career Day gives students an opportunity to learn more about various fields they are considering pursuing in college. 

The day will begin with an optional luncheon for presenters at 12:00 p.m. Following the luncheon, the first of three sessions will begin at 1:00 p.m. The three sessions, approximately 25 minutes each, will allow presenters to address small groups of students who have indicated an interest in that presenter’s field. The presentations will take place in a classroom, and presenters will have access to an overhead projector, SmartBoard, etc., if needed (not required). Presentations can be as formal or informal as you choose. Career Day will end at approximately 2:40 p.m.

We are actively searching for Alumnae, current parents, parents of Alumnae, and other family members and friends who are interested in presenting information about their career. We need presenters in as many different occupations as possible to represent their careers at this event. Please consider being a part of this very worthwhile activity!

On Take a Jem to Work Days, Villa Alumnae serve as mentors to current Villa Juniors and Seniors, who are interested in pursuing a similar career, by allowing them to shadow them at work for a day.
