SUMMER PROGRAMS
The EDGE
Summer Enrichment Program
Give your 7th or 8th grade student an EDGE on resume building, high school applications, personal statements, entrance exams, and interviews in this innovative and supportive two-week summer program.
Professional admissions, guidance, and teaching professionals will guide your child through the maze of the high school application process in small group classrooms and one-on-one experiences. Mathematics and English teachers will help students prepare for the High School Placement Test (HSPT) by focusing on content areas and test-taking strategies.
Admissions and Guidance experts will work with each student to prepare a personalized resume and personal statement. Students will learn the components of a successful interview and will be afforded role-playing opportunities which will culminate in a “real” interview with an Admissions director. This interview will be videotaped and jointly assessed by the student and the professional mentor with positive suggestions for future interviews. A copy will be provided for the child.

Designed by English, Mathematics, and Guidance professionals, the Link program focuses upon the academic and personal skills that will empower and support the high school freshman. Key areas to be addressed will include Mathematics, English, and study/organizational skills.
A variety of formats will be employed so that each student will have optimum personal contact and individualized attention throughout the program.
