Band-Sponsored Clothing Drive

Villa Joseph Marie High School Instrumental Music Program is holding a clothing and household items drive from Tuesday, May 28th to Friday, May 31st. The items will help needy families and the Villa Band will receive some proceeds for each pound of donations collected. Please read the attached flyer for all details.

VJM Receives AED Mini-Grant from St. Mary Medical Center and Bucks County Safe Kids Coalition

(HOLLAND, Pa.) Villa Joseph Marie High School is pleased to announce that it has been awarded an AED mini-grant by St. Mary Medical Center and the Bucks County Safe Kids Coalition.

The mini-grant has funded the purchase of a Phillips HeartStart Defibrillator, Fast Response Kit, and wall-mountable defibrillator cabinet, and also will afford CPR and AED training for school faculty and staff. The addition of this medical equipment and training further supports Villa’s commitment to heart health for all who visit Villa’s campus, and in particular, the student athletes from Villa and other area schools who use the gym facilities on a regular basis.

“We’re happy to support Villa’s efforts to keep our community safe,” said Kimberly M. Everett, a Trauma Prevention Coordinator and the Coalition Coordinator of Bucks County Safe Kids, which is led by St. Mary Medical Center. “When someone is in cardiac arrest, each minute an AED is delayed, the chances of survival decrease by 10%. For this reason, we know that having these life-saving devices readily available greatly improves the possibility of survival.”
